The Greensboro Mural Mural Project is a grassroots mural arts initiative in Greensboro that centers people in the places that we paint.
We do this through a series of participatory engagement strategies that directly respond and form designs from
respondents, examples being street interviews, soliciting love letters, interviewing people on the bus, recording interviews to create podcasts to accompany a mural, open mics, engaging students in their classrooms, and more. By practicing a form of cultural organizing we are growing community ownership and street level democracy one mural at a time.
Your donation helps to make this work possible, by supporting local artists, buying supplies, and making Greensboro reflective of the residents who call it home.
